HP: An enemy's Hit Points
EXP: How much experience you receive for defeating the enemy.
STR: An enemy's Strength
DEF: An enemy's Defense.
These are an enemy's statistics and can vary depending on the Battle Level
of the world it is located in. For example, a lower Battle Level means
lower strength, while a higher Battle Level means higher strength.
The Battle Level of a world is basically Sora's recommended level, so
if a world's Battle Level is 32, then ideally, Sora should be Level 32
or higher. The Battle Level of worlds can change after certain events.
Reactions Commands
These can be used at specific points in a battle and unleash powerful
attacks or other helpful actions.
There are usually different reaction commands for each enemy, although
some don't have any, and they all require specific timing. When a command
above "Attack" in the commands menu appears, or a green triangle
can be seen on screen, press
to initiate the command, it doesn't matter how many times you press it,
or if you press it before the command is available, in fact, it's better
to tap
continuously so that you can be sure to activate the reaction command.
The strength, timing and reaction of these commands will be demonstrated
for each enemy.
Also, some reaction commands have 'follow-ups' which means there are two
seperate times you need to press
to perform two consecutive attacks. For example, the first reaction command
may be to jump over an enemy, while the second may be to unleash an attack.
Note: The strength of reaction commands is important; 100% strength will
mean that the attack does normal damage; 200% strength means it does twice
as much damage as normal attacks; while 0% strength means it does no damage
or the enemy is immune.
Attack
Some enemies are immune to certain types of attacks, while other may be
weak to them. Types of attacks are displayed by different coloured "keyblades"
here, so check the key at the start of this page to see what means what.
When an enemy is immune to an attack, it will show as 0%; if it is strong
against an attack, it will show as 1-99%; if the attack does normal damage
it will show as 100%; and if the enemy is weak to an attack it will show
as 101% and over.
The type of attacks an enemy will deploy will also be displayed, so check
what kind they are to prperly prepare before you face it. For example,
if an enemy uses fire-based attacks []
then equip Armor that guards against fire elemental.
Items
Occasionally, defeated enemies may drop items or orbs. Each enemy drops
different types of items and orbs and also has a different "chance"
rate, which is basically how often a defeated enemy drops a certain item.
For each enemy here, you will be able to see what items and orbs they
drop and what your chances are of that happening. This comes in very useful
when looking for Synthesis Materials for Synthesizing weapons, items or
armor and accessories.
To increase your chances of finding rare items, use the Lucky Lucky ability
(or equip the Wishing Lamp keyblade). You'll probably also find that equipping
the Draw ability allows you to collect the items and orbs more quickly.
Battle Levels and Locations
Each enemy will be located in certain worlds, sometimes more than one,
but sometimes a world is listed more than once for an enemy. This is because
of Battle Levels. The Battle Level of a world is basically Sora's recommended
level, so if a world's Battle Level is 32, then ideally, Sora should be
Level 32 or higher. Therefore, the enemy's stats can vary depending on
the Battle Level of the world it is located in. For example, a lower Battle
Level means lower strength, while a higher Battle Level means higher strength.
This means that another row of stats for an enemy must be added for a
different Battle Level, even if it's at the same world.
The Battle Level of worlds can change after certain events, such as the
Battle Level of Twilight Town increasing for each day during Roxas's story
at the beginning.
And finally, after a Battle Level change, different enemies may appear
in that world, so it's a good idea to return to them to level up against
the new and stronger Heartless or Nobodies.

Press
to start "Berserk", Sora picks up the weapon and floats
alongside it. You'll be able to move around, but much slower
than usual. If you touch another enemy while moving, it will
be dragged with you. Approach the Berserker and use "Eclipse"
which is available after a few seconds, keep using the Eclipse
attack and then "Magna Storm" appears after the third
successful Eclipse attack. Note that each strike of Magna Storm
inflicts 300% damage, rather than 50%, and Sora is invincible
during the whole chain of reaction commands. |

A huge metal Nobody with
an even bigger sword. |
Berserker's can be very
troublesome, their sword attacks can be deadly and are hard
to dodge, fighting more than one of these gets very tough. Instead,
keep your distance and look for a good opportunity to attack.
Note that it is difficult to strike them from the front because
their sword deflects any hits, so try and attack from behind.
If they ever lose their weapon go to it immediately and use
the Berserk reaction command, along with the following Eclipse
and Magna Storm. |

A tall floating Tower
that uses lightning-based attacks. |
The only vulnerable part
of the Bolt Tower is it's small round head, so lock on and concentrate
your attacks on it.
The Bolt Tower sometimes counters your attacks with wild physical
strikes that have a wide range, so if you see it preparing for
an attack, run out of the way.
If it ever shoots a beam of energy at you, quickly use Bolt
Reversal to use it's own attack against it. |

A flying book powered
by a small also flying Heartless. Uses ancient magic spells
from it's book and is immune to all elements except non-elemental. |
Magical spells will not
be very effective on Bookmasters, so stick to Keyblade combos.
Also, there's a 1% chance of a defeated Bookmaster dropping
an Akashic Record, which is a rather good weapon for Goofy,
so equip the Lucky Lucky ability or the Wishing Lamp Keyblade
and go eliminate some Heartless. |

Press
near the Bulky Vendor to win prizes, prizes change depending
on how much HP it has remaining. (See Below) |
Description |
A small timid Heartless
with the appearance of a vending machine. |
|
The Bulky Vendor holds some rare prizes, but unfortunately this Heartless
is almost as rare as it's prizes!
It has no attacks of its own and is incapable of causing damage to your
party, your aim is to deplete it's HP as much as possible and hit
before it disappears, which is after roughly 40 seconds.
There are only five places where the Bulky Vendor can be found.
The Land of Dragons: Checkpoint
Beast's Castle: The West Hall
Olympus Coliseum: Cave of the Dead: Entrance
Agrabah: Bazaar
Halloween Town: Candy Cane Lane
The chances of the Bulky Vendor appearing are completely random and cannot
be increased by raising Sora's Luck, when one does appear though, a message
will appear on the screen informing you that there are "Rare Heartless"
in the area!
But because of the Bulky Vendor's timid nature, you need to bring it out
by pressing
to spin the carousel at Halloween Town; destroying a wagon in The Land
of Dragons; a suit of armor in Beast's Castle; a torch in Olympus Coliseum;
or a market stand in Agrabah.
When the Bulky Vendor appears, it's HP will gradually decrease. You may
use you Keyblade to help things along though. During the battle, four
reaction commands may appear, Capsule Prize, Rare Capsule, Limited Capsule
or Prime Capsule. These appear depending on the Bulky Vendor's HP levels.
When one of the commands is executed, the Vendor will be defeated and
will drop rare items and orbs, depending on which reaction command was
triggered.
The closer to the end of the time limit before you deploy the reaction
command, then the better and rarer the prizes. Therefore, the Prime Capsule
releases the best prizes but is also the hardest to obtain. This is because
the Vendor becomes more evasive the closer you get to the end of 40 seconds
and therefore it is harder to press
at the right time to get the Prime Capsule.
